Age Gating
Customisable age gating allows you to set a minimum signup/applicant age for your programmes
What is Age Gating?
Age gating lets you set a minimum signup age for your program. It only applies if Date of birth is a required field on your application form. If an applicant doesn't meet the minimum age, they'll receive an error message when they try to sign up.
Considerations for Live Programs
If you're enabling age gating or updating your terms on an active program, keep the following in mind:
- Existing advocates will need to re-agree to your terms before they can complete any tasks. They'll be blocked from taking action until they've accepted the updated terms of service.
- Existing advocates are not automatically removed if they don't meet the minimum age requirement. We recommend running an advocate export to identify anyone who may not meet the age criteria, then deciding how to proceed based on your legal obligations.
🚨 Note: Reach out to your Duel contact if you're unsure how to handle advocates who don't meet the age requirement on a live program.
How to Set It Up
Age gating is configured through the Terms & Conditions settings. See the Terms & Conditions article for a full walkthrough, or watch the short video below.
