Reward Fulfilment for Bundles and Non-SKU Items

This article details three key methods for distributing rewards to Advocates that is not available on your eCommerce.

Method 1: Automated E-commerce Integration

For programmes with eCommerce integration, automating reward fulfilment increases scalability and reduces manual nature. If the reward item is not already listed on the eCommerce platform, it can be uploaded as a hidden SKU or bundle and hosted on a dedicated private page.

Implementation Steps
  1. Create a New SKU – Upload the reward or bundle as a new product on the eCommerce system.
  2. Set Up a Private Page – Create a private reward page where the SKU can be found and added to basket, ensure page is not accessible through standard site navigation.
    1. Include a link to the private page in the reward copy in Duel.
  3. Generate a Batch of Reward Codes – Create a batch of codes that only work on the reward bundle, ensuring it cannot be applied to other products.
    1. Upload batch of codes to Duel for automatic distribution.
  4. Automate Fulfilment – The eCommerce team processes the order as part of the standard fulfilment workflow.

Benefits

  • Fully automated process
  • Minimises manual intervention
  • Seamlessly integrates with existing order management

Method 2: Task-Based Reward Fulfilment

This method integrates reward fulfilment into the programme’s task system, allowing Advocates to claim their rewards. By requiring Advocates to complete a task before receiving their reward, this approach ensures shipping details are accurate and creates a structured workflow.

Implementation Steps

  1. Create a reward task – Add a task at the appropriate tier level prompting Advocates to claim their reward.
  2. Task Submission – Advocates provide or confirm their shipping details upon completing the task.
  3. Review & Process Orders – As operators review submitted tasks they then dispatch these rewards accordingly.
  4. Mark as Completed – Once processed, the task is marked as approved in Duel.

Benefits

  • Establishes a clear tracking system
  • Ensures Advocates confirm shipping details before dispatch
  • Creates an organised workflow for the team

Method 3: Manual Reward Distribution

Rewards can also be distributed manually. This method involves manually tracking tier advancements and handling fulfilment manually.

Implementation Steps

  1. Monitor Tier Progression – Track when Advocates reach the required tier.
  2. Collect Shipping Details – Ensure address and contact details are gathered during onboarding.
  3. Process Rewards Manually – Dispatch rewards through your internal fulfilment procedures once an Advocate qualifies.

Benefits

  • Suitable for businesses without direct eCommerce control
  • Provides a personalised experience
  • Allows for flexible reward distribution
