How do do commission payments work in Duel?
Speak to your BSE about commission payments and for any further details appropriate to your brands setup.
What is Commission?
Brands can pay advocates commission through the Referrals & Affiliates functionality.
Once these rules are setup and orders are being tracked/associated with advocates they'll show in the Orders tab under Referrals (commission)
Commission payments can exist in 4 states
Pending - Payment is awaiting updates from the brands e-commerce via order updates, returns or cancelations.
Completed - Payment value has been confirmed.
Paid - Commission has been paid out via automatic payments or marked paid manually.
Cancelled - Commission cancelled by an operator from the Dashboard.
Advocates can see pending, completed and paid commission in the Duel Portal unless hidden from the overview page.
Manual Commission Payments
If a brand would like to manage commission payments internally they can use the Duel dashboard to track and mark commission as paid from the Referrals (commission) tab.
Automatic Commission Payments
If a brand has decided to utilise Duels Automated Payment solution, speak with your BSE to get the feature enabled for your account.
Duel utilises PayPal for automated commission payments. Advocates are required to have a PayPal account with exactly the same email address as their programme email for the payments to be successful.
Brands are invoiced monthly for the total of the commission payments (plus processing fee) including the brands designated return window and decided processing time.
The Referrals & Affiliates setting Disable automatic order commission management. Is how a brand manages the automatic payout window, see that page for more information on setting this up.
