Step-by-step guide for brands who wish to instate specific terms and conditions for their programmes
Brands can upload Custom Terms of Service into the Duel Dashboard to apply them to specific groups.
These terms are agreed upon by advocates when they enter the program and submit tasks. Additionally, the Terms of Service include age gating functionality. For more information on this feature, please refer to further reading here.
Field Definitions
- Title (For internal/admin purposes: consider using version v1)
- Note (Optional message directed to existing advocates to clarify the reason/changes for the terms of service)
- Text (The terms)
- Minimum signup age (used for age gating)

Alternatively, here's a step-by-step summary of how to set these up:
Step 1: Create new Terms of Service
💻 Navigate to Settings (top right) > Terms of Service > Create
Refer to the definitions provided for each field above. Once you have filled in these details, click on the 'publish' button to finalise the setup.
Step 2: Apply the Terms to a group profile
💻 Navigate to Members > Group profiles > click into the relevant group profile > General / Text.
Step 3: Set 'Program terms of service'
Scroll down to the bottom of the page where you will find Terms of service on the left hand side and select the relevant new terms of service.
Click the Save button to apply the new terms to the group, completing the setup process for that specific group.
