We’re excited to announce a major expansion to Dynamic Labels, brand operators can now build “Profile Labels” using custom fields to create hyper-segmented advocate audiences!

❗What’s new

  • You can now create labels based on any structured custom field (like “Favourite Colour”, “Skin Type”, “Product Line Preference”, and more).
  • These labels automatically group advocates together if they share that characteristic—letting you target, personalise, and report with more precision than ever.

⚙️ How does it work

  • To view eligible custom fields, go to Members > Labels > Create Label and start creating a new Dynamic Profile Label. At launch, Custom Fields is the only available ‘Subject’. Choose the custom field you’d like to use, then select the value (answer) you want to build the label audience from.
  • To view custom fields available you can go to Settings > Members to which a list of custom fields is available.

🎯 What custom fields are supported

  • Supported: Multi-choice (single or multiple), Yes/No, Checkbox, Dropdown—any field where advocates pick from defined answers.
  • Not supported: Free-text fields or number/text inputs where answers can’t be grouped.

🤔 Why does this matter

  • Profile Labels let you build campaign audiences based on real, personal characteristics—not blunt segments like “everyone in the program."
  • Example use cases:
    • Target all advocates whose skin type is “Dry” for a product tester launch
    • Invite all advocates creating “sports” content to a focus group for a sneak preview of a new clothing line launch
    • Label all advocates based on their preferred content creation medium for hyper personalised task creation. (Instagram, TikTok, YouTube etc.)

🚨 Limitations

  • Only custom fields with pre-defined answer options (structured data) are eligible. You won’t see free-text fields or numeric fields as available options when creating labels.
  • If you have no structured custom fields set up, you’ll see a message explaining what to do (“No eligible custom fields found. Please ensure you have global structured custom fields set up in Settings > Members.”).

🔮 What’s Next

This is just the start. Over the coming months, we’ll expand Profile Labels to include things like location, platforms, follower count, location and more—plus eventually enable combination “Segments” for power users.
