Custom Terms of Service

Step-by-step guide for brands who wish to instate specific terms and conditions for their programmes

Brands can upload Custom Terms of Service into the Duel Dashboard to apply them to specific groups.

These terms are agreed upon by advocates when they enter the program and submit tasks. Additionally, the Terms of Service include age gating functionality. For more information on this feature, please refer to further reading here.

Note these terms are always accessible via the terms button at the bottom of the portal

Field Definitions 

• Title - For internal and administrative reference: it is advisable to implement versioning, such as v1, for better tracking and management
• Note - Optional message directed to existing advocates to clarify the reason/changes for the terms of service
• Text - The terms themselves, formatting can be done via markdown
• Minimum signup age - used for age gating

Alternatively, here's a step-by-step summary of how to set these up:

Step 1: Create new Terms of Service

Refer to the definitions provided for each field above. Once you have filled in these details, click on the 'publish' button to finalise the setup.

Step 2: Apply the Terms to a group profile

Step 3: Set 'Program terms of service'

Scroll down to the bottom of the page where you will find Terms of service on the left hand side and select the relevant new terms of service.

Click the Save button to apply the new terms to the group, completing the setup process for that specific group.
